"That Crazed girl improvising her music,
Her poetry, dancing upon the shore,
Her soul in division from itself,
Climbing, falling she knew not where"

- W.B Yeats

What I'm Wearing: Topshop Knitted Beanie, Vintage Levis Denim Jacket, Primark Leggings, H&M Black Flats, Rokit Scarf & LFW by Mulberry Tote Bag

Bought 5 very different hats today. Rifled through endless piles of vintage leather. Ate steamed artichokes dipped in soy sauce. Took a cold bath with Metric blasting through big speakers. Momentarily wanted to dye my hair dark brown. Got stuck in some of my written words (as seen below). Got excited about the summer and then decided to go to bed...

Caramel Cobblestones, climbing stairs...leading to stagnant air, Fairy lights, hanging by sparkling threads, I watch their bulbs burst, melt and drip all over my bed. Wine overflows from its glass, red sips, rouge tinted lips...I itch your name, each letter crawls across my arms and sits next to my neck. Here we go, I'm lost again, hell. I'm a wreck.

What I'm Wearing: Rokit Vintage Leather Shorts & Hat, Sheer Jaegar Silk Blouse, Vintage Shoes & Blazer & Coach Satchel

Wow. Long time, huh? My dissertation: completed, bound and handed in, about a week ago. Then, I jumped a train to London with the boyfriend. We seemed to continually find ourselves wandering around Covent Garden. Neal Street is fun, lots of quirky shops.

Currently in Spain, visiting the family. Currently, also craving a pair of ridiculously chunky clogs.

"I suppose you think I'm very brazen. Or Tres Fou. Or something"

This rather bizarre black & white anthology provides a deep insight into the happenings of my life, far deeper than any sporadic ramblings could ever be capable of. From these photographs I think one can easily come to the conclusion that I've been saturating my stress in wine, good company and ...perhaps a budding obsessive relationship with my SLR.

Funnily enough, most of the mens' ensembles in these photos are worn in jest. And while their garments are for comedy value only, fashion can often be most creative when expressed in an ironic manner- and so with that, I leave you with your own opinions...

Saturday & Sunday: full of friends, wine & music that flowed far too loudly. Yet, this week has spun off into a series of surreal, almost fake-feeling hours that have somehow tangled themselves into whole, complete days. Time is crawling and so is my mind, up and down the walls of my room, tingling with a numbness that at times, makes me feel like I might actually explode into a dozen sharp pieces of stress. And that would hurt. But it is all okay, my dissertation is almost completed & then I'll have a taste of fleeting freedom before exams.

I pulled this hot pink blazer out of the depths of my ever-messy wardrobe. I bought it at Salvation Army months ago...and the cat mask, well I thought some sort of ridiculous pursuit was necessary today. So I put it on, cranked up some old school Jamiroquai and got one of my very very lovely friends to snap away.

On a final note. Durham in the sun... Wow, it sparkles like the YSL arty ring I have been coveting.

"What do you suppose will come of us? I guess, when you find what've you always wanted, that's not where the beginning begins, that's where the end starts."
-Elizabeth Taylor, as told to Truman Capote

What I'm Wearing: Vintage Leopard Coat, Beyond Retro Hat, Topshop Beige Boots. Instead of icy dark evening skies, there are dense dusty blues that grow darker. Mellow sun is shining rather consistently and these days I walk out of the house without a thick tangle of scarves or a cumbersome umbrella. Call me optimistic but I can feel spring- its first hints are creeping up onto us. And while I love cosy nights indoors with big mugs of steaming caffeine, I am craving the outdoors. Riverside walks, green grass lounging, cafe reading...all the simplicities that dominate my life when the sun decides to make an appearance.

Not entirely sure what the consistency of these photos is about- they seem overly textured...which I kind of like. On friday, after several glasses of wine, I decided to get adventurous and alter my camera settings...in hindsight, it was probably not the best of ideas. This weekend I'll work on fixing my baby back.
