Bertrand Russell asserts that happiness is a matter of mental discipline, Paulo Coehlo believes that to enjoy happiness at its highest we have to have had experience sadness at the same intensity. But I guess when it comes down to it, happiness can only ever fill a percentage of our lives and while what percentage that is is entirely up to the individual, we can never expect a full, free easy-ride of 100%. Right?
