"I suppose you think I'm very brazen. Or Tres Fou. Or something"

This rather bizarre black & white anthology provides a deep insight into the happenings of my life, far deeper than any sporadic ramblings could ever be capable of. From these photographs I think one can easily come to the conclusion that I've been saturating my stress in wine, good company and ...perhaps a budding obsessive relationship with my SLR.

Funnily enough, most of the mens' ensembles in these photos are worn in jest. And while their garments are for comedy value only, fashion can often be most creative when expressed in an ironic manner- and so with that, I leave you with your own opinions...

your fashion style is okay-good but do we all REALLY need to know about your personal life? you're meant to be a fashion blog, not lets go create 'atmospheric' prose out of no content

Anonymous said...

I agree with the above post. It would be great to have more fashion commentary and less 'look at the fabulous life of Audrey' rubbish please.

Oh, and for the Anonymous posts above mine: If you don't like the blog, don't read it. There's no need for hate. Go away please.

Anonymous said...

I am the anon from above and I love the blog too, I'm not a hater! I'm just using the comment space to let Audrey know what I personally (although it seems I am not alone in this) would like to see more of on her blog. She obviously knows a lot about fashion and I want her to share that side more, as opposed to ramblings about her life. This is constructive feedback where lots of the comments are people plugging their own blogs. Maybe she could take pictures of street style in Durham as well as posting pictures of her friends.

Audrey Leighton said...

Street-style in Durham? That is a lovely concept, but it would undoubtedly be a rather lacklustre endeavour. The term "stree-style" implies style reaches its creative zennith on the streets. And so Durham Street-Style is almost a paradox in itself, because the streets of Durham, sadly...very rarely deliver any inspiration in terms of sartorial creativity.

But thanks for the heads-up, I do appreciate constructive feedback, and def. take it all into consideration when constructing my blog posts. :) x

who is anyone to tell frassy what she should, or should not include in her posts. if you do not like then please read elsewhere and stop moaning about what you may want or not want to be included. If you do however have some perfect idea of what a blog should consist of, please please stop these anonymous posts and introduce us to the brilliance in which we are obviously missing out on. arse.

To the anon who thinks that no one can comment anything remotely different to "omgzz frassy i love u!!!!!!!!!" - the anon who commented with CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is completely within her rights to comment saying what she thinks. This blog is public and on the internet, therefore anyone can write what they want on it - by making her blog public frassy is conceeding to comments like that. At least that comment was actually helpful unlike people commenting with immature insults on this page. Not everyone has to like this blog. I like some of the posts and think other parts aren't that great but I continue to read it because fashion INTERESTS me and this is a fashion blog. There's no need to insult people for leaving a reasonable comments.

I believe that Durham for its street style shouldn't be overlooked and I'm always surprised by what people are wearing. It's a fascinating place and I love the fashion here. Appreciate.

Hi Frassy, I'm a massive fan of your blog but I must say I agree that there has not been enough fashion of late. I loved the fashion week posts (esp. Nicole Farhi pictures) but I'd love you to try something new with the blog and write more about fashion/your inspirations than your own life.
Looking forward to the next post XX

Even when color photos bring life, no one should forget black and white photos. It seems as though black and white is more deeper in thought.

I love the models you have used in these pics!!!!

I especially like the guy who has a remarkable similarity to michael jackson, i think he would have a future in modelling but he looks a bit on the short side.

Is that Christopher Wiseman as well???? I really wanna meet that guy, I´ve heard so much about him.

I hope to see these models again.

Keep going, Frassy :-)

frassy i think you're losing your touch...your outfits just arent cutting edge anymore.

i agree with the others, please dont go on about your life, especially cos there is no detail and nothing seems to happen other than you drinking wine and coffee and feeling low.

i mean this as constructive criticism not an attack.

Indy said...

I love the shoes!

Anonymous said...

not cutting edge because she's not throwing herself at trends by just wearing neutrals and military looks? she has a look.

Anonymous said...

I just thought I would point out that Audrey did close this post with "I leave you with your own opinion".

As such, I would have thought people were welcome to express them. I find it odd that people are told not to bother reading if they do not like the content - is that what would be said if the (constructive) criticism came from, say, a magazine editor? Not having a go; just a thought..

olivia said...

It's interesting to see how all of the anon's are following suit of "construcive" criticism. Stop being anonymous in your 'construction' and show her some face value. It is important to note that for anyone to trust you for your opinion, you must gain credibility, validity; ethos. Which, clearly, you anon's have not, and sincerely hope you can gain some internet courage (not hard to find) and give Frassy some real advice. xx to you audrey

Well I'm the "anon" from above; and for the record I have never previously posted any comments. Don't assume that anyone who posts anything that isn't wholly in approval of every single post must inherently be one of the spiteful anons.

You may put the word "constructive" in quotation marks to show your disdain of people's opinions if you like... but if people say "Hey frassy, we would like to see more fashion advice in the written part of your post" because they like her style on her FASHION blog, its hardly spiteful, unconstructive criticism! If anything, people are showing appreciation.

By lashing out to defend Audrey like that you're making yourself look just as silly as some of the truly vicious anons.
