"Anthology of Aimless Photography"

An anthology of some of the best things residing in my room. From the resident "bling bowl" to my extended ring family to the first page of my scrapbook- these are all the wonderful, albeit trivial possessions in my life that make waking up this early on a Monday morning, less painful. The sky is icy and even the quaint cobblestones outside my house seem to be frowning, I want to crawl back into bed with some Dylan Thomas and a pot of black coffee.

I could blame routine, or maybe even boredom- but the devil inside me is tempting me to dash into town, buy a delicious box of chocolate brown hair dye and dump it all over my head. I'm rather tired of the constantly increasing blonde shades in my hair. I crave the innate sophistication that seems to come with dark hair. Is this wrong? Should I leave my hair alone? I don't know. I'm waiting for some change to come about my life, maybe I should bite the bullet and start with my lacklustre locks?

Love your hair as it is. Maybe just let it darken. I dyed my hear for 7 years (black!), then I bleached it. After all, I finally cut it short and let it be. It’s now the same old dirty ash blond, less radical and significant than before - but I am slowly growing accustomed to it … And I never really liked the feeling to be a bleached blonde …

Awesome photos.
I like your hair colour as it is. I'm pondering changing my hair too. I decided to do a poll and let my readers decide which colour! It's not much use. theres a tie between bright red and dark brown at the mo!
Maybe you should do a poll and we can decided whether you should dye it!

Great pics, as always! About a month ago I felt a similar urge to dye my naturally blonde hair dark, and followed through on that impulse on a whim. It was indeed a shocking and exciting change, but lasted for only about two weeks until it began its slow fade into its current mousy brown boringness, complete with my lighter roots drawing a vertical line over the top of my head. I definitely don't have the coin to do a dye job every three weeks and am finding myself regretting ever acting on my impulse...I'm lucky to have such a naturally bright shade of blonde and the fact that it's covered up by a more commonplace, everyday shade saddens me every time i look in the mirror. i would advise sitting on the thought for some time, and if in a week or so it still seems like a good idea, then go for it! just don't think too quickly about something you may regret later. keep blogging girlfriend!

I always love seeing parts of your home!
it looks so quirky and amazing as if one could have a look into your frassy brain, haha.
well, at least this is what I imagine it to be like.

and god, it's cold as hell here too and I can stand it any longer. the crispy cold got me into a poetic state for like a week but now everytime my nose turns to a bright red shade I curse europe and its damn seasons.
which I eventually begin to cherish again as soon as I'm overwhelmed with late summer boredom. so far away now though.

as for the hair: I think an overall brown look would be great, just don't go too dark, choose a shade that matches with your roots so that you actually only have to adjust the lighter ends.
do I sound like a professional?

what are you waiting for? dye the hair. you will look gorg and rock it out EITHER way, whether it looks good or FANTASTIC. :) xoxo

er... distinct lack of shoe rack, which is in my opinion, the very best feature in your room.
i fully support the hair dying (retaliation? ;))
being blonde isnt actually that good. so GO, with my blessings.

and I agree with Isa about all that common sensey not dying too much darker than your roots etc

Why are you up at 1 am????? crazy! you hair would look nice really dark - can't offer dying info. I have somehow managed to get to the ripe old age of 15 and unlike all my friends not done a dark/bleach/dye strip in 3 days routine!

Amazing photos, I particularly love your ring collection - obnoxiously large rings are something of a favourite of mine at the moment!

I say go for it with the dark hair, as long as you don't go tooooo dark, I think it'd look great on you.

don't do it! i love your hair! mine is chocolate brown, and i'm eagerly awaiting spring to justify starting to highlight it...

I love your hair, but I also think you'd look amazing with dark hair!! :D Hair dye can be so tempting, can't it! I dyed mine red for a few years, but root touch-ups got to be such a pain. So now it's back to it's natural dark brown shade, and I really want to dye it red again! :)

I too crave turning my blond hair a dark brunette, but my hair dresser says it would look awful. I think you could rock it, though! I'd go for it. Hair grows back or can be recolored.
