"Fashion serves as a gloom-lifting, austerity-denying, head rush of visual optimism"
-Sarah Mower

What I'm Wearing:
Vintage EVERYTHING. Boots from EBAY. Got my bracelet for Christmas, Thanks Dad.

Nothing like a glass of wine in the dark winter cold. A couple moments of quiet reflection; thoughts set sharp against nothing but blank night. With the New Year imminent, my mind has been seeped in the subject of self-reflection. There is so much I want to do in 2010. Graduate from Durham, spend a summer month languidly floating across Europe by train, start my vintage business & move to London. I'd also quite like a sun-tan and a ticket to glastonbury this summer.

So Guys. I've been in Spain for less than a week and I'm already missing Durham & my cosy, candle-lit room & the fact I can step out of my door and be at 15 different cafes in less than 2 minutes.

GOOD NEWS. I've finished my babies. Ahh, I am so proud of them. What babies, you ask? HEY. The Tote Bags I've been promising you guys for pretty much FOREVER. You can get chanel, chanel explosion, or a crazy, whacked out YSL design. Hmm they are like popping candy. I have them all, I wear them all. And you guys, its LOVE. You can view & buy HERE.

"“for whatever we lose (like a you or a me)
it's always ourselves we find in the sea”"
-E E Cummings

What I'm Wearing:
Vintage Velvet Armani Blazer, Topshop Striped Tunic, Babooshka Turban, Balenciaga Bag & Boots from ebay.

Hey. Today was Christmas shopping madness. Just got home, and despite the bowls of cappuccino I gulped at every interval, I'm still exhausted. And I'm missing my best friend and my boyfriend. It is going to be so long until I see them, which kind of irritates me. Actually its really irritating. :)

I've gotten into the lovely, indulgent habit of having a bath every night. With candles, a glass of wine and good music on low. I feel amazing when its over. Clean Hair, Soft Skin & A Good Book, and off to bed I go. Yum.

I'm want to forget about life for a couple of hours with a good, absorbing book.
I feel kind of empty- hopefully some good prose will suck this melancholia right out of me.

What I'm Wearing: Vintage Velvet Blouse, Paisley Silk Headscarf & Lace Crop Top. H&M Skirt & Mother's Old Boots.

Woah there, its been a while, no? A whole week?! Eeeek: End of term madness, packing, drinking & saying Holiday goodbyes. And then I rushed down to London for a quick couple of days with the boyfriend. There was a lot of snow, an abundance of wine & a Christmas shopping marathon. We went from Brick Lane to Westfields and everywhere in between.

Today, finally arrived back in Spain. So good to spend time with the family and do nothing but relax & revel in a clean house. Dropped my bags in my room to discover a huge pile of beautiful vintage clothes my mother bought and collected for me while I was away. Yum.

I'm making Carrot Cake Tomorrow!

And taken by light in her arms at long and dear last,
I may without fail,
Suffer the first vision that set fire to the stars.
-Dylan Thomas

What I'm Wearing:
Vintage Plaid Cape (Bought this at Armstrongs Vintage in Edinburgh- only twelve pounds, I am in LOVE), American Apparel Knee High Socks, Urban Outfitters Oversized Black Sweater, Boots bought on ebay.

I'd love to tell you what I have been doing, but after thinking about the last few days, I am actually unsure as to what precisely has been happening in my life. I have been very relaxed, probably too relaxed. Spent a great deal of time in cafes- caffeine overload with the best people in my life. Been wandering around the charity shops in Durham too- found an oversized button up velvet shirt which pretty much made my week. Went out last night. Cocktails for 3 pounds, shame I only had one. Came home, we sat around in pyjamas, ate toast, listened to Kanye West then fell asleep in my big pink bed.

I've started a sister blog to my beloved Frassy, called Sporadic Soul. Think of it as an overflow via screen of my thoughts and inspirations. Its not going to be anything like this and might even be verging on the weird, whacko side. But enjoy & embrace.

Finally, three songs I am obsessed with:
Hot Mess, Cobra Starship. Revelry, Kings of Leon. Photographs, Rihanna Feat. Will. I. Am.

"So many songs have come to visit me while I'm out there, free from the confines of four walls. The desert can become your living room, the ocean your bath, the galaxy your ceiling"
-Tori Amos.

What I'm Wearing:
Vintage Fringe Sweater & Sheer Navy Blouse. ASOS Jeggings. Boyfriend's Jack Daniels Tee. Urban Outfitters Boots + H&M Hat.

8 am rise. 3 hour coastal drive. 1 food stop & about 150 songs. We arrive in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Get Lost. Drink strange yet incredibly delicious takeout tea. Get swallowed up in the tourism flow, then subsequently wander off onto my favourite street (West Bow, Grassmarket); full of quirky shops, musty books and vintage clothes. Complain about being too warm then moan about the cold. Fret over which hat to buy, debate whether a scarf is too itchy & ask every vintage clerk if they have any thigh-high boots in a Size 7. Ask random strangers to take our photo, buy cans of coke zero & revel in the glittery christmas lights.

It was only my second time in Edinburgh, and I can safely say it is a city I much prefer in the winter than in the summer. It was lovely to escape the bubble of Durham and get out into the ongoing wave that is a city. My best friend and I have been talking about a potential road trip for months now, I'm glad we finally did it.

Today I woke up, had a ridiculous amount of cappuccino, ambled through a chaos-crammed Christmas Fair, had homemade soup at a cafe with the boyfriend, another cappuccino & then a couple of those wonderful Sunday hours where you do absolutely nothing but still manage to have so much fun.

Angry and Aggravated over essays. Midnight Text from a friend; "Hey, You are in GRAZIA". What a mood-changer. I remember when it was taken, the Grazia photographer was so friendly. And after we first met, I saw her everywhere. Snapped during LFW in September. I miss London, terribly. To the extent that when I think of the city, my heart almost hurts. What on earth am I doing in this sleepy town? Cannot wait to hit Somerset House again in February. I am hoping to see some of you there. Yes?
