"I know a thing or two about ambitious women, but without trust, you're lost"
-Lilly VanDerWoodsen, Gossip Girl

What I'm Wearing:
Primark Fur Hat & Scarf, Vintage Draped Cardigan & Plaid Blazer, D.I.Y Denim Shorts, Urban Outfitters Van Halen Tee & Boots. Balenciaga Bag.

Winter has certainly set in, the cold, grey air seems to seep into the cobbles and never rise again. Wet & Windy describes the view from my window. My workload is like a darkening shadow that follows me everywhere, and sometimes, in the early morning, my shower doesn't work- and I am having bizarre dreams recently that mess up my sleep- these are the sorts of things that induce a heavy dose of winter blues. But I refuse, I'm staying happy, happy...no matter what goes down each day.

A Vintage Shop recently opened in Durham. This is big news for a town that is severely lacking in sartorial innovation. Today, Frances & I went to explore. What a treasure-chest it is. I bought some slightly weird shoes & another (delicious chocolate brown) fur coat- this fur obsession is developing into a dangerous, not to mention, frivolous addiction. How many do I need?! (Oh, and BY THE WAY, just so you all KNOW. My Furs are FAKE. OKAY? OKAY?!) We then had coffee and talked about men or boys, whatever you choose to call them.

Just so you know, I'm the kind of person that ALWAYS has to be listening to music. From going food shopping to sitting in my room or in the library, my ears are in constant transfer between i-pod headphones and the stereo speakers. "Hey, put some music on would you?" is an annoying question, but only because I always, always ask it.

I'm loving the hat - can't believe it's Primark!

Those anon comments are so stupid. One minute you're anorexic then you're fat. Erm.. NO! You're neither. So silly.

You look great! Need to catch up on a few of your posts :)

I can't believe people really make such stupid comments? Stooo-pid. Why waste everyone's time?
I guess I will know I've made it when I have Anons dropping by my blog - had none so far!

I never know whether to say boys or men!! I don't feel old enough or indeed that guys act old enough to warrant being called 'men', but they're not exactly boys. Very odd!Love the hat, tried it on myself but just looked awful on me!

so frustrating that you have to declare that your furs are fake! yay for vintage shops. that van halen tee is so perfectly 80s.

WOW, love that hat! Can't believe it's Primark!

I have a big faux fur addiction as well - I have seven fur coats, fur earmuffs, a fur scarf, and I ALMOST bought a cute fur clutch bag from Topshop... But thought that might me one step too far! I definitley need a fur hat though, you've convinced me! (though I didn't need an awful lot of convincing to buy more faux fur...!)

I think we both need faux fur rehab!

I miss your older entries..you used to talk about more things, put up pics of accessories and clothes you liked...and definitely had a more definite style. Now I have a hard time understanding most of your outfits. I love that you try to be original, but lately, it's just a little bit too much.

I've been following your blog since almost the beginning, and had more fun reading it back then...bring back the old Frassy!

Hey!!

Love your page. You are an absolute inspiration in style.

Anyway, just a lil suggestion...perhaps you could post on your blog what you are currently listening to. I know you do this sometimes, but I'd love it if you made it a regular thing??

Cheers Chica,
Carol :)
