"I took a deep breath and listened to the old bray of my heart. I am. I am. I am."
-Sylvia Plath

What I'm Wearing:
H&M Eagle Tee, Vintage Waistcoat, Topshop Bow Headband, & Skirt: was previously this crazily long dowdy garment from a charity shop- the 2 pound price tag meant I could snap away with the scissors and not worry about the consequences. Surprisingly, I love how it came out.
I am inherently prone to occasional bouts of melancholy, maybe its the inner-poet within me...maybe I just like to wallow like Orsino in Twelfth Night...or maybe its just "that" time of month. Either way, there is nothing that can cheer me up like perusing a bookstore. My inner geek just explodes into memories of when I spent all my cash on books, not shoes. Walking into Waterstones today instantly lightened my greyish mood. There is something about all those dozens of books on organized shelves that comforts and inspires me.
Speaking of books: Currently re-reading The Bell Jar by Slyvia Plath. I had forgotten what a brilliant piece of literature it was; read, read, read it!
Alexa Chung forever provides me with inspiration, her ensembles are always incredibly casual yet exude a fresh elegance. Appreciate her below:

FINALLY, congrats to the beautiful isquisofrenia:
she will be receiving an awesome Elizabeth & James tee in the mail soon!
And note to the girls that come up to me in clubs and ask "Are you Frassy?"
You guys are seriously SWEET and I wish I knew all of your names.
Thankkk you for the support.

Alexa, is beautiful, and not just a typical model-she actually has style. Also, I love your DIYed skirt, I can just imagine snipping and snipping up the hem, like the girls after the war who shortened their hems and had some fun. Hope your having more fun, as (fingers crossed) the hate commenters have taken some blogger advice and fucked off.
Much love,
H

Ooooooooh Alexa Chung & The Bell Jar... so good!
Have you ever read any of Angela Carter's stuff? Try the Bloody Tower, it's a bunch of insane fairy tales and they are amazing. I wrote a 5500 word paper on one of them and, bizarrely, still love it.

Hello Frassy. I love the sequined white top in the last post. And the Bell Jar is fabulous. I've been following your site for quite some time, but this is my first comment. I have a very new blog at www.believablegiraffe.blogspot.com. You are so creative and fabulous!
Take care,
Jordan
