"You sit away from me...
scratching away at blank lines of page,
the clock frantically ticks into rage,
and you spark my heart into glittery flames,
that melt away its dry, metallic cage.
(i wrote this on a scrap of paper during my three hour literature of the romantic period exam today; is it that Wordsworth inspires me to write things like this or am I just too easily distracted?)

The Suspender Look is always a precarious one; its important to be prudish from the waist up. With my legs entirely exposed in such a striking way, to avoid falling off into the sea of tacky, I paired my suspenders (bought on ebay for 3.00) with a high-necked black tunic from Topshop & a charity shop beige blazer that could be straight from grandma's closet. I guess appreciation of this rather daring sartorial whim depends on how fashion-forward your environment is, conventional/stuck-in-their way crowds would be plainly appalled while those more open to courageous dressing will def. see this look as fantastic. Either way, I know that I physically could not step out my door in Durham in this outfit, I really don't think people would see it in any other way than me being slutty. However, on the plus side, this look is def. hitting the streets of Soho or Covent Garden in London...perfect for a long summer night of dancing and free-spirited craziness.
Look of the day: inspired by my lovely blogger friend: Gala Gonzalez at amlul.com
Note: I never intended for Durham students to read my blog. It is not something I ever anticipated happening. For those of you who do and enjoy it, thank you for the emails, facebook messages and kind, lovely words. For those of you who don't enjoy it, keep reading; it widens my readership, meaning more money from my advertisers. And while you might click on frassy to mock me, your actually doing me a favour, so keep at it!
I have been doing a reasonable amount of style stalking this week, not only because its perfect procrasination but also because Gossip Girl ended (the Chuck & Blair scene?! god, my heart melted!) Anyway, here are my favourites: enjoyyy

A lot of Durham students read your blog- we're not all jack wills clones like you seem to think!

PERFECTISIMO. your room is sooo inspirational and creativee
YOUR A WHORE.
I kinda like the look. I agree it's probably not suitable for Durham but still cool nonetheless. Is it true you're leaving Durham next year? Don't let the bullies grind you down!
you're leaving durham? :|
you hussy!
I think durham might be able to cope with the suspenders and shorts, come proper summer, maybe proper dressed down with a slouchy t. It's a gamble. What's the worst that could happen? (imagining the scenario sans North Road action)
We should have a Durham blog-readers party. It might be a small affair though. And possibly sprinkled with very horrible people. x
I think you look great! Managed to pull it off without looking slutty at all!

I enjoy coming to your blog to look at your particular clothing choice, However your words, arrogance and ridiculous poses annoy the hell out of me. The suspenders look awful, regardless of whether you live in Durham. There is no way that you can pull them off as anything other then slutty which I suppose is appropiate if you plan to wear them in Convent Garden and Soho. I hope your vast knoweledge of literature understands my point.
hey ciara, if I annoy the HELL out of you than DON'T read my blog?!
and no, i don't think my so called "vast" knowledge of literature will help me comprehend your petty insults as anything other than utter angry bitchiness.
on another note, my knowledge does indicate that YOU need to LEARN how to spell before you start criticizing people....
THANKS for reading!
Where are your shoes from? They look so amazing

Ugh, I completely disagree with these bitchy comments, I think you look great. Yes, the suspender look is not for everyone and can look trashy but I think you've styled it well by dressing down the slutty element of them. I agree with you, people insulting you firstly need to learn how to spell, it's not that difficult and if they don't like your blog then why bother reading it?
I love the suspenders with the shorts, I think it's great. I may try that look at some point, thank you for the inspiration. I also love your blazer, the colour is amazing, and I love the fastening detail. Your hair also looks fab in this post, as does your room.
Phew. That was long, apologies.
Hayley.
xx
i love love love this outfit! pplease come to london and show off your style and not be judged :)
Bullying at university sounds really boring and is strange for isn't it for clever mature people?!? very strange
anyhoot, please don't stop, I love Frassy xxx
The criticism and abuse is getting reeeally boring now.
I think your blog is really well writte & descriptive, and your outfit choices are so varied and stylish. If I didn't like anything you wore or said I wouldn't read your blog, simple. So why do these people continue to read your entries and comment on them?
Annoying!
I love your style! And I really do feel sorry for the people that have nothing better to do than read your amazing entries and write a load of crap about them.
I love the outift, although I personally wouldn't be confident enough to wear it out and about ;)
I love your room and your blazer is especially awesome. So sorry you have to deal with all this negative anonymous comment crap.
You look like a blind tranny
Alot of the time you dress pretty nicely, but sometimes you seem to cross a line and look a little pretentious.
I think you're amazing. maybe put moderation on comments or at least the CAPTCHA thing to keep the haters from being jerks.
Hello ,
I just adore the hair and i have to admit ,i have been trying to do the same hair-do for three days now . But i always end up looking like a poor abandoned child.
Anyway i think you write very well, it's not at all pretentious, i love how " fresh" your style is . Oh, and i though your article revolving around Edie Sedgwick was really well written and put together.
And finally i also study literature and i think it's great that you have a vast culture ( i hate how that sort of became a negative thing nowadays ) and i like how you put quotes especially when i get to boost my ego by guessing where they come from!
anyway , keep the juice going !
hmmm...
you're hot, yes.
but you're not as individual as you might think, as you look just like every other bohemian wannabe.
My diarrhea looks better than you do.
I love your jewelry hooks!
P.S added you to my blogroll today. :-)
You bought suspenders from EBAY? NOW that is ultimate slutty. NICE.
i love your blog frassy, :)
you look so cool in this pic, you really pulled it off!
lol this anonymous person is jealous, much?
